Pet-friendly home furnishings that guarantee animals’ well-being
Save the Dogs sponsors the new Poli Design course in Milan.More and more cats and dogs are sharing our homes with us, but are we sure they are really comfortable in the spaces we have furnished with the family’s needs in mind?
This is the question posed by the executive new course at Poli Design in Milan, conceived and directed by Amelia Valletta, which will begin on 13 October and is sponsored by Save the Dogs.
It is a highly topical theme which will focus on an interdisciplinary approach, integrating veterinary medicine, ethology and, of course, design. Special attention will be paid to environmental issues and to ensuring that the most suitable materials are taken into consideration for those living with a cat or dog. The key point of reference for this course involves taking a cognitive zoo-anthropological approach regarding human-animal relationships, with the one single objective of promoting the well-being and quality of life of our pets.
One of the components of the course, which is open to everyone, is a conference with our President, Sara Turetta, who will talk about the evolution over time of cat and dog shelters in Romania, and a meeting with Luca Spennacchio, one of the best-known dog trainers in our country, who will talk about dogs living in highly urbanized contexts, such as big cities.
