American Indipendent Film Festival for Save The Dogs
We are proud to announce that Save the Dogs has been chosen as one of two organizations that will be the beneficiaries of the proceeds from the sixth edition of the American Independent Film Festival to be held in Cluj, Romania, from 15 to 21 April.
The American Independent Film Festival, the prestigious cinematographic event held in Romania that promotes movies produced outside the Hollywood system, has chosen to include a charitable component ever since its first edition, by allocating all profits from the ticket sales to supporting a humanitarian cause.
This year, the choice was quite understandably one of solidarity for Ukrainian families who continue to live in war-torn settlements or who have taken refuge in Romania. Save the Dogs has been chosen for the work we are doing at the Isaccea border in aid of refugee families fleeing with their pets.
It is an important acknowledgment of our commitment at the front line and also recognizes the enormous dedication of Sara Turetta, who has been actively involved in taking care of the neediest animals in Romania for more than 20 years.
Participation in this illustrious festival is an invaluable occasion for Save the Dogs to increase the association’s visibility, particularly in view of the publication in the Romanian language this coming autumn of Sara’s biography.
