WHAT “FAMILY FOOTPRINTS” WILL LOOK LIKE

The spaces in the new area will include:

1. A NEW EXERCISE AREA
For the more than 200 residents we currently have at the center, it is crucial for them to be able to engage in physical activities outside of the clinic’s kennels and inpatient rooms.

2. A LIVING ROOM, JUST LIKE YOURS
“Family footprints” will be a room that has been specifically designed to facilitate the transition to family life, which is especially important for dogs that have experienced trauma in the past. The space will be peaceful and cozy, just like your living room, and our staff will prepare dogs for their future life with a family here, thanks to the presence of furniture which we are used to seeing at home (such as a sofa, a carpet, and a TV), but which are unfamiliar and therefore potentially traumatic for the animals. Spending time in this new space will be a crucial preparatory step for the many dogs we rescue every year.
