GREGOR’S STORY

When they found him, our vets could count his ribs and all his bones one by one.

This foal was little more than two weeks old when his owner left him in the ditch where he had fallen. Probably, the man had thought that every attempt to save him would have been useless and tiring or he had intentionally abandoned him.

Luckily, a compassionate peasant passed by. In that area there are no internet services and, despite the difficulty in communications (it took three days to find us!), he managed to call us and ask for help.

Dehydrated and full of bruises, the conditions of the foal – named Gregor by our staff – were desperate, but thanks to our vets, after one month from his rescue, he is now out of danger. It is a real miracle, because, at that age, foals are extremely fragile and vulnerable animals.
