On November 20 in Save the Dogs’ clinic in Cernavoda we face another emergency.
This time it is about a puppy whose conditions appear immediately critical.
The diagnosis of our vet confirms the initial impression: “cherry eye, mange, internal parasites and rectal prolapse.”
“His condition is serious. Yet we called him Victor. We think positive”, writes us Lucian, the doctor in charge in our clinic in Cernavoda.
In the days following his admission to our clinic Victor undergoes two surgeries (eyes and rectum) and different skin treatments.
The recovery, however, proves to be slow and difficult, with frequent relapses: the puppy eats little and more than once worries our medical staff.
Yet there is one thing that keeps the hope alive: despite his health conditions, Victor is a sociable puppy and full of vitality, with a very strong character.
The communication that everyone was waiting with bated breath comes three weeks after his entry into our clinic: Victor is out of danger!
Having overcome the first vaccine, now we can finally start looking for a family for him.
All this would not have been possible without your contributions. Thanks to a fantastic fundraising on facebook, in fact, we were able to fully cover the cost of the treatments and surgeries that the puppy has undergone. Thank you on behalf of Victor!
On the 18th of February Victor was adopted in Italy by this wonderful family
